Kankakee County Community Services, Inc.

KCCSI works to alleviate the effects of poverty on low-income families and individuals in Kankakee County. Human service programs include rental, shelter, water and mortgage assistance, affordable housing, certified renters, college scholarships, computer training, small business loans and information and referral. The Energy component provides assistance with heating and electric bills, emergency furnace repair and replacement for homeowners and weatherization. The Senior Nutrition program reduces the effects of loneliness and isolation and promotes independence for older people. Meals are provided in dining rooms and delivered to isolated homebound seniors.
