The United Way model is all about community efforts to address and overcome local challenges. Our four main impact areas include education, income, health, and basic needs. United Way supports 47 programs at 26 agencies across Kankakee & Iroquois Counties, and all of the programs fall under our four impact areas.
Your United Way is governed by a local volunteer board of directors, and all decisions about funding are made by the board, not a state or national United Way organization. The United Way staff is driven by United Way’s mission and values and is committed to the advancement of common good for the people of Kankakee & Iroquois Counties.
