Board Spotlight: Adam Elroy

Adam ElroyHow long and in what ways have you been involved with United Way?

I have been involved with United Way for one year. I have served on the board and been a part of the Finance Committee. I also participated in the Community Investment process program site visits this past Spring.

What aspect of United Way's work excites and inspires you?

United Way provides vital help to our community. It inventories the needs of our people, connects with local groups trying to provide for those needs, and pools together resources to help allocate funds to those needs. Without a network, it's hard for those who want to help to figure out how to best use their time, talents, and money. United Way can help us all to work together, and I want to be a part of that.

What would you say to others who haven't yet decided to give back through United Way?

If you are wanting be a problem-solver and help those in need in our community but haven't figured out how to best accomplish this, connect yourself to United Way. If you already are trying to provide help, become a part of the network United Way creates. If you are looking to donate money but aren't sure where funds could be best used, consider putting your trust in United Way to help distribute those funds.
