Board Spotlight: Peggy Sue Munday

How long and in what ways have you been involved with United Way?

I began giving to the United Way over 30 years ago.  I also sat on the board way back then too as well as volunteering on the Allocation Committee. I currently serve on United Way's Development Committee and Leadership Society Action Team.

What aspect of United Way's work excites and inspires you?

I am inspired by the team we currently have in place.  They are motivated to help whenever and wherever they can.  It's always a pleasure to see the excitement in their eyes when a new idea pops up or when someone says "I'm here to help."

What inspired you to become involved with United Way?

Giving within my own community and watching the wheels turn to help others is something that inspires me daily.

What would you say to others who haven't yet decided to give back through United Way?

Giving back through United Way is no brainer really. United Way knows our community's needs and fills them as best as possible with the money donated from those within the community. Perfect!
