These programs address critical needs—from early childhood development and education to housing, food, and emergency support. Imagination Library Launch

In April 2025, we proudly launched the Imagination Library in Iroquois County, in partnership with the Dolly Parton Foundation and the Community Foundation of Kankakee River Valley.

This partnership program currently provides nearly 500 children under the age of five in Iroquois County with a free, high-quality book each month, mailed directly to their homes. Early literacy is a foundation for lifelong success, and we’re excited to bring this opportunity to local families.

Supporting Food & Shelter Needs

United Way also serves as the local administrator of Iroquois County’s Emergency Food & Shelter Program (EFSP) funds. In 2024, this brought more than $61,000 directly into Iroquois County to strengthen food and shelter programs—meeting urgent needs for families when it matters most.
